I love the toowoomba track it is heaps fun to ride...
85cc9-12yr A grade
didnt get any holeshots but I was up there and worked my way to the front with big leads on 2nd place each moto...
65cc7-13 yrs A grade
1st moto I won again by huge lead and dad was up me as i was ridin "safe" wanted me to practice harder as we havent had the bike time and I was stopping too much in my corners so use it like i do at practice so for the next moto dad held me in the gates and let the hole field go round first corner til the last person went over the first hill and then let me go I worked my way through which was fun as I have been better with my starts so it felt like the old days when i was having to come through the pack and caught and passed 1st and 2nd who were battling themselves then on my last lap as I went down the skyline at toowoomba to head up the mattahorn my bike wouldnt turn right and went out the rutt and i fell bit of a goon crash hahahaha...I got up tried to move it but it would turn left not right so 1st and 2nd got past me as i rode the best i could being careful of righthand turns...lol to finish 3rd...we got back and saw the transponder came loose and slipped down on thefork and was sitting the ignition box therefore wouldnt turn so bit of a bummer...
last moto dad let me practice another start and I won that one too ...
so 1st for both classes and after missing a round of the series i was able to still finish 2nd place for the series on the 65 and 3rd on the 85..so thats my recent racin even though it would have been awesome to go with mitch to france we had to settled for close to home racing with all the stuffwe have had going on...and i was sooo stoked to see mitch and wilson do well at the fim jnrs and cant wait toget back with my mates and race and battle with them again...
oh and also i was proud of my little bro Jett he rode his first open event on his div 2 finally as he just had his birthday 2 weeks ago and he came 2nd with a few holeshots and 2 crashes in moto 1 he got a 3rd,1st,2nd result so well done lil swappa we both came home with $$$$ (as we dont get trophys only money)cya

TOOWOOMBA SHELL REPORT
a weekend of mixed results had a good day on the 65 and rode good on the 85 but not the results I was chasing...
65 class
I was stoked to finish in 1st overall with the competition as we had not only Australia #1 wilson todd but nsw #1 tyler bullen there so competiton was awesome no time for slackin off I was able to win 2 motos and a crash in one gave me a third in moto 1 so with fastest laptimes every moto I am happy with my progress in this class but stilll with riders like these ya cant be just "happy" I gotta keep workin and trainin.......
85 class
I got good starts but i felt not right ya know when ya have an awesome week of training then you just seem to not get it quite right or as fast in racing.. I mean my pace was sorta still there but my head couldn't get the passing thing down i ended following wilson and finshed 1 sec behind him but i am not after 2nds i I want 1st....
next moto I pretty much did the same thing i still am not sure why my head wasnt feelin as confident as it was previous races but it cost me so 2nd again....the last moto I was determined to do better but I had a massive crash on the start at about 3/4 straight tapped out..not good went down hard and my wrist was caining I got up and back to my bike but with all the stuff going through my head like oh man I need to get going I couldnt start it by the time I did wilson was coming around for his 2nd lap so i started off only just in front of him and after a lap and a half he passed me my wrist was getting jarred over all the step ups and ski jumps so I still finished a second behind him but a lap down so I got no points our pace was there....
on some of the motos we (1st and 2nd)were finishing a minute earlier than 3rd place so we had some good riding together but I know myself I wasnt at my best ......unfortunately I only got tied 4th for the day and it hurt my overall points but i am keen to fix that at the next 2 rounds ..I guess while I have found a new level of speed it just goes to show consistency is what can get the podiums on the day.... I just wanna thank my Dad for putting the effoort in with me and our trainin he had a hard time too with my racin on the weekend as he believes in me and knows what I am able to do to...but hopefully we cant turn it around next race meet...

QLD TITLE RND 3 REPORT (ROMA)
65 cc class
moto 1 first moto of the day well gate wasnt the best but i was keen to stuff it up the inside and stuffed it up i did lol i didnt allow for a little bit of love tapping and i got shut down and with my head in the tyres with the rest of the field charging off...Definately Not the way i wanted to start the round in dead last... but i picked it up and got to buisness i ended up getting back to 3rd with mitch and wilson within eyesight just no more time left..needless to say i got the fastest laptimes for that moto...
moto 2
woo hoo my first holeshot of the series on either bike and ya know what it is sooo much easier winning from the front instead of 7th or 8th lol
Moto 3
well didnt quite get the start but wasnt bad about 4th round the corner but soon made my way up to mitch who was gunning it for the overall state title win. i caught him but he made it easy for me by sliding out in a corner on the 2nd lap so i put my head down and focused till the end of the moto ..so with a 3rd and 2 wins i took the overall for the day with Mitch Evans in 2nd and wilson Todd in 3rd..
The overall for the state titles came down to the last moto and while Mitch had secured a comfortable 1st overall i scraped together enough points from Roma to end up tied 2nd place with wilson on 195 points but he got 2nd for the series and they gave me 3rd ...so I was happy to get on the podium every round for this class....
85 cc class
moto 1
not a bad start pretty uneventful moto finished 2nd but my rear end was as rough as something wasnt quite right and to make matters worse i was pushing and wasnt being smooth so my laptimes werent where they could have been...still good points and made the series a whole lot tighter it brought WilsonTodd and me to 150 points and Mitch Evans to 151 with 2 motos to go for the series...
Moto 2
I wanted this win i wanted to secure more points in the hopes of taking out a state title BUT didnt quite pay off i was about 5th round the first corner with my main competitors in 1st and 2nd ..panick!!! i need to get going!!! i made it back to 3rd then closed in and passed mitch now wilson was my target i caught right up to him and in a split second my pass on him went wrong he went inside and i took an outside berm to launch into the whoops but didnt quite make it that far lol i slid out as the berm had wet then dry skatey dirt and i soon learnt it was the same line that claimed qiute a few other riders in their battles like Jacob Wright!!!so close but so far away so in a panick i picked it up in about 6th and went at it when through a 1 lined part of the track the rider in front of me went down and sodid i so now stressing even more i did the wrong thing and didnt get my rythm and crashed again!!! so when all was said and done i only manage to catch up to the back wheel of 4th so that sort of just blew my championship right there BUT i am learning and learnt alot from that moto....
moto 3
was an awesome adrenalin rush i went round the first corner in 9th or 10th about there and of course my fellow competitors Wilson and MItch were in 1st and 2nd so head down again...sound familiar man i need some start lessons off these guys!!!lol anyway i got up to about 5th on the first lap with alot of ground to make up and i did i made pass after pass and caught Mitch luckily i think he was tired as he didnt put up too much of a fight so i set after the #1 rider and i tracked him down we went at it for lap and a half with him staying just in front of me by about 1 second across the line MAN i wish i had seen the last lap board i was so focused on the racing i missed it and ran out of time but it was a crowd pleasing moto with the commentator Jason King giving his lungs a work out!!!!!!
so in the end with a bad moto i ended up 3rd for the day and 3rd overall for the series ...
i have loved this series i have improved each round and enjoyed finally gettin in on the battles with Wilson and MItch these guys are awesome riders and have helped me improve.....also big shout out to Jason king the commentator he does an awesome job and gave all my sponsors heaps of airtime..thanks to my sponsors Crazydogs kawasaki, moss institute, lazyboy graphics silkolene and M.P.E your support has been awesome....

DYSART QLD TITLE REPORT RND 2
Man it was a hoooottttt weekend !!! I sweated like a pig but once again another new track that i hadnt ridden and it was a fun track i was pumped.....
the 65 races were a lot closer this time with Mitch and me tearing around together i was trying to get round him but left my runs too late and he was riding strong so i had to settle for 3rds again!!!! By the last moto i was over 3rds!!!
so with not a bad start i put my head down and passed both Wilson and ktm factory rider Reece Raynor to take the lead in the first lap i was not letting them have this one.... Wilson made a charge early in the moto but by the end i had a got myself a big gap on 2nd place taking the win which secured me 2nd overall for the day on the 65...mum reckons we need 20 minute motos as i seem totake a bit to warm up..like an old generator dad reckons...
85 races well race 1 was an up and down race with riders battling then crashin in the end i was able to stay focused and upright and finish in 1st
2nd moto i struggled with my start and it was more of the same with me and mitch going at it man i wanted to pass him but he was too strong and we fought to the line ..the mx gods must a been smiling on me though as when i got back to the pits dad put my bike on the standand andsaw the bolt to the top eyelet of the rear shock was gone ooohhhh man i was very lucky.....
last race of the day with the bike checked over 3 times by dad we headed to the line and i got a sweet start about 4th in the first turn but doh guess who was infront of me the 3 fastest riders so i made some passes and by the end of the first lap i was able to pass wilson now that left Mitch so i set about tracking him down i finally got him to then tak ethe win but wilson was hot on my heels this time until last lap where i gained a bitof bike space and won giving me my first state title overall win on an 85 i was stoked BUT the series isnt over and its down to neck and neck for the 85 so looking forward to some sick racing battles at Roma....
Oceanias and Auckland Champ Report
Got to New Zealand thursday after noon to meet our billiting people the turnwalds and they were awsome their kids rode motocross and they had a sweet track we could practice on and test my mpe suspension as we didnt get time to ride the bike with suspension before it was shipped as we had to grab a bike off our mate to make sure we got it shipped in time, and it had been raining all the time so thanks Turnwald family for letting me have a ride...
Then friday came we went to Mr motocycles shop to help some fellow aussie team mates put their bike to gether. Then it was time Saturday the big day the track looked sweet with practice who ever had the fastest lap time got first gate pick and i got the fastest 65 lap time with a local claud grifith on a 85 with the fastest lap time. Race 1 ,With a alright gate came into the first turn about 5th place so i had to push past some riders in the corners and ended up third.
Race 2 ,alright start had to push right round the out side of the first turn and came out second behind the leader jordan hill. battling with jordan went down a hill and made a block pass but unfortunatly my front wheel washed out losing a couple of postions passing one back and ran out of laps to catch second place mitch evans
Race 3 bad start got about 10th around first corner had to motor I caught josiah natzke NZ no 1 65 rider and past him caught my team mate then was tracking down first place then got a flat tyre which was bad my rear end was all over the place going up those big hills mitch caught me back and passed me but i manage to hold on to a 3rd again giving me 3rd overall
In our 65 race we raced against N.Z 85s and our aussies 65 riders beat all of them as well our boys were riding sweet
Sunday the main event...Oceania
race 1 start was ok I was about 7th and moved up into 4th as I gained on 2nd and 3rd mitch made it easy for me by stallin it which was a lucky break for me as he was fast all weekend and on a bike he hasnt ridden before and then I was able to put a pass on a n.z rider down one of the hills to finish the race in 2nd...
Race 2 this was the final moto and I knew I could win the overall by winning this race, I wanted it bad but Dad did say to me remember today is about the team if you can make a clean pass do it but dont do anything stupid to have you or a fellow aussie crash we need podium spots to win the oceanias...
so the start gate dropped and I got not a bad start about 4th into the first corner but being jammed on the inside allowed 3 or more riders to sweep around the out side on the next corner Dam I thought gotta work hard to catch the holeshot king Hilly then made a nice line choice and moved up into 2nd ...now it was on!!! The leader and me went at it the whole moto I want the win but I still wanted all aussies on the box so I tried insides outsides unders and overs but couldnt make a pass stick we had an awesome battle that never let up until the finish line in the end Hilly won , I missed out on 1st overall by only a bike length ...the racer in me wasnt happy BUT after the adrenalin stopped I was Stoked as us aussies got 1st ,2nd and 3rd for the 65s....
I had the best time going over there and met the coolest people I so wanna go back again
I wanna thank Mark for helping us get there, Crazy dogs kawasaki for supporting my trip over there moss institute for my riding skills mpe for our suspension lazy boy graphics the club, the track was sik the people who got our stickers and my team mates who gave their all to make us a strong team oh and mum and dad for letting me go....
Next race is shell round at hevery bay hopefully the rain stops up here so I can get some bike time
